An unprecedented concert of Portuguese and Russian guitars will take place on October 19th at 7pm at the Moscow House of Music.
The virtuous Portuguese guitar player, Luis Guerreiro, will perform to the public of Moscow alongside Carlos Manuel Proença (classic guitar). Luis Guerreiro accompanies the most prominent voices of fado, and performs regularly at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Altice Arena in Lisbon, the Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall in New York and Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
On the Russian side, Romen Theater guitarist and improviser Valery Basov, in a duet with Mikhail Oleshenko, will perform the seven-stringed Russian guitar, a Russian instrument whose history goes back over 200 years, transporting us into the atmosphere of Russian and Gypsy melodies..
The concert is an unique guitar duel, which is included in the program of commemorations of the 240th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Portugal and Russia, is an initiative of the Portuguese Embassy in Moscow, in collaboration with the Moscow House of Music, with the support of Camões, IP.
