The Siberian public will be able to follow the tracks of the most recent Portuguese cinematography with a selection of movies guided by a distinguished aesthetical care. The 6 long feature films include: Zeus (Paulo Filipe Monteiro), Carga (Bruno Gascon), Al Berto (Vicente Alves do Ó), The Cinema, Manoel de Oliveira and me/O Cinema, Manoel de Oliveira e eu (João Botelho), Pilgrimage/Peregrinação (João Botelho), Mother knows best/A Mãe é que sabe (Nuno Rocha), and an exclusive session of short films: Sara F. “I am certain that this Portuguese cinematographic offer will surprise many enthusiasts of the Seventh Art in Novosibirsk, for its beauty and profound storytelling, for its extraordinary photography and edition, for its complexity and at the same time simplicity of characters and contexts, for its singular approach to problems which are, after all, so common to both our countries. This “Portuguese view” about the modern world will certainly surprise the “view” of many of the habitants of the 3rd largest city in Russia, one of the cities with the most dynamic growth in the world, a true center for Science, Culture, Sports and… Cinema”.
