The exhibition ‘Lords of the Ocean. Treasures of the Portuguese Empire of the 16th-18th Centuries’ will be held from December 8, 2017, to February 25, 2018, in the Exhibition halls of the Assumption Belfry and Patriarch’s Palace.
The opening of the exhibition was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin, while accepting the credentials of the new Ambassador of Portugal in Russia, Paulo Vizeu Pinheiro, on October 3rd. ‘In December, an important event in the humanitarian sphere is planned: In the Moscow Kremlin Museums an exhibition ‘Lords of the Ocean. Treasures of the Portuguese Empire of the 16th-18th Centuries’ will open. The exhibition is dedicated to the rich cultural and historical heritage of Portugal, connected with an era of great geographical discoveries’, the head of state said.
